How to Fill an Illustrated Journal: One Page a Day for a Month

Today I am going to show an easy way to fill up the pages in your illustrated journal or visual diary. I've made a mini-blank book to show you how easy it is to begin now to get your days down in pages.

This diary has 32 sides: one page for every day of the month and one for the cover. (8 papers folded in half makes 32 sides.) So that's one page a day, one entry a day and I promise you, you can do one entry a day.

Here are some prompts and ideas for filling up your pages. Draw:
• coffee cups
• recipe
• any clothes – shoes, hats, jewelry, socks – anything
• your art supplies
• what you're reading
• what music you are listening to
• what you are watching – telly, film
• a quote that catches your eye
• something on your desk or workspace
• a map
• what you found on a walk
• your pets
