Ronna Gordon-Galchus

My name is Ronna Gordon-Galchus and I have been practicing law for more than 25 years. I began my career as an attorney with the Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society representing indigent individuals charged with crimes. Throughout the years I have devoted my practice to representing people facing various levels of felonies and misdemeanors and have tried numerous jury and non-jury trials. A large part of my practice is also dedicated to those who are involved with cases in Family Court. Whether it is custody/visitation issues, orders of protection or neglect proceedings, it is my belief that each person deserves individual attention and each matter is unique to that person. I believe youngsters charged with Juvenile Delinquency deserve the expertise of an attorney who is knowledgeable in the Family Court, since the laws applied to juveniles are not necessarily the same as for adults. Working together with my husband, we have the ability to thoroughly know all our cases and do not delegate the matters to anyone else.

I also have authored numerous appellate briefs and have argued both in the Appellate Division and the New York State Court of Appeals.

Frank M. Galchus

My name is Frank Galchus. I began my legal career more than 30 years ago with the Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society. Since then I have represented clients in criminal matters and family matters in Criminal Court, Supreme Court, and Family Court. Today my clients include both adults and children. In Family Court my representation includes both those seeking an order of protection and those defending against family offense allegations, cases involving custody and visitation, and allegations of child neglect and abuse. I also represent children who have been arrested and are facing charges in Family Court. I realize how stressful it can be to the family of a child when this occurs, and how important it is that the lawyer handling your child’s case knows the special law and procedures in Family Court.
