Hi everyone! Welcome to my channel.
Today, we are going to learn about magnets and magnetism in a fun and simple way!
So first, what is a magnet?
A magnet is a material that can attract certain metals like iron, nickel, and cobalt.
Magnets have two poles – one is called the North pole, and the other is the South pole.
Now let’s talk about magnetic poles.
If you bring two like poles together – like North and North, or South and South – they push each other away. This is called repulsion.
But if you bring opposite poles – North and South – they pull towards each other. This is called attraction.
So remember: Like poles repel, unlike poles attract!
Now, what is a magnetic field?
A magnetic field is an invisible area around a magnet where the force of the magnet can be felt.
This field is strongest at the poles, and we can show it using lines with arrows going from North to South.
Let’s now see where we use magnets in real life.
Magnets are used in compasses to help find direction.
They are used in fridge doors to keep them closed tightly.
They are found in speakers, earphones, electric motors, and even in big machines like MRI scanners in hospitals.
So that’s all for today’s video!
I hope you learned something new about magnets and magnetism.
