21 Savage Says he Tried to WARN Drake Not to Battle Kendrick Lamar🤦♂️

In a new clip from the Perspektives podcast, 21 Savage weighs in on the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar rap beef, and his comments have the internet going crazy. 21 says he told Drake not to battle Kendrick because he had “nothing to gain” — and that Drake is already the biggest artist in the world.
But this take is exactly what people online have been calling out for months: the idea that Drake couldn't really “lose” because he’s rich, successful, and gets the most streams. That logic falls apart instantly, because if Drake had won, these same people would be bragging nonstop about how he “ended Kendrick’s career.”
The internet reaction has been:
“This is the participation trophy version of rap.”
“If Kendrick lost, 21 wouldn’t be saying any of this.”
“Drake fans keep changing the rules so their guy can’t lose.”
“Competition doesn’t disappear just because you’re rich.”
“Jay-Z went at Nas at the height of his powers. What is 21 even talking about?”
In this video, I break down:
Why 21 Savage’s argument contradicts the whole culture of hip-hop
The double standard Drake stans use to avoid admitting he lost
How 21 accidentally confirms that Drake came out looking weaker
Why “streams and money” aren’t the same as winning a rap battle
How fans rewrite the narrative depending on who wins
Hip-hop is built on competition. Somebody wins, somebody loses — and pretending Drake is “too big to fail” doesn’t change the outcome everybody already saw.
Let me know your thoughts: did 21 Savage help Drake here, or make the loss even more obvious?
