Speaker Biography:
Bill Kennedy
Bill Kennedy is a Reagent Specialist for Akoya Biosciences and has 20+ years of IHC experience. He has experience in both research and clinical labs developing & troubleshooting assays, as well as in field based roles training customers on the Bond IHC platform and Opal multiplex IHC.

Christopher Grange
Chris has close to ten years of experience working with a variety of immunohistochemical techniques and technologies. His main focus over this time has been development and validation of IHC grade antibodies in a number of research areas. This has required a deep understanding of not only the IHC assay itself but also expression profiles of the human proteome in normal and diseased tissues. The main area of focus has been immuno-oncology, where Chris has developed automated IHC assays for novel I/O targets and provided support for multiple pre-clinical programs. His experience also includes design and development of multiplex immunofluorescent IHC assay panels and implementation of IHC digital quantitation software.

Webinar Abstract:
The determination of target specificity in immunohistochemical analysis requires multiple validation steps. Traditionally, multiplexed immunohistochemistry has been limited to 3 or 4 markers, and cross-reactivity of antibodies can be problematic. Working with murine tissue can present its own set of unique challenges.

This webinar will cover the variety of techniques used at Cell Signaling Technology to facilitate antibody validation for both single and multiplex applications, the importance of species-specific validation in immunohistochemistry and the advantages of using rabbit monoclonal antibodies with mouse tissues. We’ll also discuss the advances in multiplex IHC using Opal and rabbit primary antibodies developed by CST to reliably stain for 6 markers in a mouse model of breast cancer and how Akoya Bioscience’s Phenoptics platform can provide quantitative analysis of tumor biology in context.
