On the evening of April 15 (local time), at the invitation of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, President Xi Jinping arrived in Kuala Lumpur aboard a special plane for a state visit to Malaysia. China and Malaysia, separated by the sea, have maintained a deep and enduring friendship, and this marks President Xi’s return to Malaysia for the first time in 12 years. #PresidentXiVisitsSoutheastAsia

The Malaysian side extended a warm and heartfelt welcome: Prime Minister Anwar personally greeted and saw off President Xi at the airport, which was a high-level gesture; the Yang di-Pertuan Agong hosted a grand welcome ceremony at the National Palace Square; the two leaders witnessed the exchange of more than 30 bilateral cooperation documents. Old friends are charting a new future, as China and Malaysia join hands to build a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future, ushering in a new "golden 50 years" for bilateral relations.
