Quick video showing how I fixed the bow zone. If you followed my other tutorials, you'll know that previously we sacrificed the bow sound in lieu of the crash sound and only using the edge switch as a choke. This was due to the edge trigger not responding well because the cymbal is too thick - you'd have to hit it really hard to get it to trigger, or mount the switch to the top (not ideal). This video shows how I solved that issue by placing another piece of vinyl underneath the cymbal that hits the membrane switch when the top of the cymbal is struck. Now we have Edge, Choke, and Bow zones functioning. And again, this is all reversible, so don't roast me in the comments.
