The building of Memphis' largest fiber network is underway! The Smart Memphis Fiber project broke ground in April 2024. Blue Suede Networks is building, financing, and managing the fiber broadband network to enable ultra-high-speed internet connections throughout the city. Check out how crews are using micro trenching to install the fiber line around the city. The process allows them to bury the line without tearing up the whole street.
