How does a single cello fare outside of its familiar habitat?
We invited our solo cellist Ariel Alexis de Wolf to do some field research together with professor of music at the University of Agder, Bjørn Ole Rasch. Together they explore how different locations affect not only the performance, but the performer and the listener as well.
We visited the town square in Kristiansand, as well as the cathedral, the common hall of the university, the chapel of St. Ansgar and a sewage treatment plant, located several hundred feet inside the mountain.
