10 Year Anniversary Special: My Childhood Truck 10 Years Later

I don’t really know what to say, but boy 10 years is a long time! I uploaded my very first YouTube video on this day a decade ago, featuring my recycle driver in his regular truck at the time collecting in front of my house. I decided that as a tribute, I wanted to dedicate this video to my trash driver. Even though he was not featured in my first video, he has still been a big part of this channel and was still featured for the first time nearly 10 years ago!

While this is not my exact childhood truck, there is still some significance behind this truck and the truck featured in my first video. Growing up, my recycle truck was a yellow CCC Python with the number 4246. Fast forward to the present day, and my trash driver’s current truck is a grey Peterbilt Python with the same number of 4246. Because of the significance, it seemed like there was no better way to look back on this anniversary than by comparing the old and new 4246, and the fact that both just happened to be my regular route trucks. I also figured it was worth documenting the one constant on my route, Ignacio as my trash driver. Surviving multiple route changes and different trucks, Ignacio has been servicing my neighborhood on Tuesdays for 15+ years! I’ve grown up watching him collect my trash and anytime he was there, he’d stop to talk and crack a couple of jokes. Truly an amazing driver who always has a smile on his face and takes great care of his customers. Thank you to Ignacio and thank you guys for helping me grow my channel into what it is. I am extremely grateful for this platform to be able to share what I love with people who enjoy the same thing!
