Did you know that regular people can just buy decommissioned fire engines??
With all of the fires that happen in Los Angeles, I wanted to get some sort of water storage that might help when the fires inevitably come creeping toward our backyard! We had been looking for a standard water truck, but for the last year everything I looked at was well above our price range and not feasible to buy.
This purchase happened during another large fire in LA that was heading our way. Nothing like bidding on 750 gallons of water storage when there's a fire a few miles away!
Did I get a good water truck substitute? I'm hoping having this parked on the farm will be an invaluable firefighting tool in the future fire seasons here in Southern California!
