KD Bug - Fly tying (Lady Bug w/ Hard shell)

I have been searching for a long time to find a way to turn a generic foam lady bug into a hard shell backed, life like critter. In my endless failures, I discovered the combination of UV Knot Sense, Gel Nail polish, and Solarez Bone Dry. Doesn't add a ton of weight and looks very REAL!

This fly is named after my good friend JT's (JT is in a lot of my videos) Sister. She's battling cancer at the moment and I really felt like dedicating a fly in her name. Now when JT and I fish this beauty (dry flies are our favorite) we can always have KD front of mind!
