I often look at the digitised versions of the old Isle of Man County Series ordnance Survey maps to find interesting areas to explore if there are remnants existing today and one such area that peaked my interest was in the area above Glen Roy which led me to find an unpaved old road that I had never realised was there from Windy Corner on the Mountain Road into Glen Roy, around which there seemed to be various ruins.
Eventually (in September 2021) off I went to explore armed with the drone, seeing the remains of another old croft/Farmhouse (or Tholtan in Manx).
I didn't know its name but it looked familiar and it turned out local Tholtan Expert Ray Kelly had written an article on it which I had seen earlier.
