Indian Scout Bobber exhaust wrap install

Exhaust wraps! So search the net and read the forums and you will hear the pros and cons of doing this. In my humble opinion both sides have greatly exaggerated pluses and minuses. The bottom line is I like the way it looks. It doesn’t give you much, if any, performance gains, and the talk of the pipes rusting out quickly is over blown. They look cool if that is the look you are going for. From my experience of having these on my 2020 Indian Scout Bobber Twenty, it seems to me that the pipes are less hot. I say less hot because they are in no way cool. The heat just seems less intense. I burned my calf on the heat shield shortly after I got the bike. (yes I know, my fault for riding in shorts) but have felt the heat but not felt the burn with the wrap on. I do usually ride with jeans but I’d be lying if I denied that I had ridden in shorts with the wraps too. Not out of laziness mind you, because I wanted to be able to compare and report back to you 😊

I’ve seen some wrap jobs that it was obvious the pipes were left on the bike to wrap. I’ve heard the proper method is to take them off so that is what I show you here.
