Join us as Brent describes how he repaired two wood wings from a wrecked experimental aircraft called a Cubby. Sometimes your luck runs out and your plane runs off the runway, hits a ditch or a sign or a shed - and the aircraft flips over. The prop strikes the ground. The top side of the wings crunch on the ground. A wing spar cracks and the rudder is destroyed. Most of the time it's not life-threatening (Thank God!) - but it is embarrassing. We understand. We fix this kind of damage often enough. These repairs can add up, especially if you need an engine overhaul... so Insurance is a good idea. If you don't have insurance we can adjust our shop rate to help you out.....or the DIYer might find this video helpful and be able to do the repairs themselves.
