Hello and welcome to another history documentary by Charlie Dogwood. That's me.

Today we're talking about Costabile Gus Farace - a mafia associate and genuine crashout who knew nothing but prison cells and Staten Island. Farace might have been a big time mobster, but only if he managed to avoid making a huge mistake: which he did. Farace's attack on the DEA agent Everett Hatcher launched an almost year long manhunt for Farace, resulting in the Feds putting Gus Farace on the FBI's Most Wanted List and putting him on America's Most Wanted. Ultimately they got desperate and decided to reach out to none other than Gambino mafia boss John Gotti for help.
