The effects of structural racism are evident within the NHS, with cultural biases against patients and health care professionals creating disparities in health outcomes as well as barriers to career progression, workplace discrimination, and unequal opportunities for training and development. This session explores issues around culture and race - what is still missing from the broader conversation on racism in the NHS and social care, and how do we take the friction out of making progress on EDI?
