Situations like this can happen in any major tourist city around the world. Tourist traps or tourist scams. Many of them are already well known, some are not. Still, many people fall for these tourist traps or scams. I came across two situations that were a bit shady on one of my first days here in Colombo, Sri Lanka. I'll show and explain both in this video to make people aware of it.
Disclaimer: This does not only happen in Sri Lanka and it also doesn't ruin my overall super first impressions I have here so far. 99% of people were genuinely friendly and welcoming to me so far!
