UFC 261 will feature three title fights, including Usman vs Masvidal 2, Valentina Shevchenko vs Jessica Andrade and Zhang Weili vs Rose Namajunas. The event will be held in VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, in front of 15,000 fans. Jacksonville also hosted the UFC's first fights back after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic on May 2020, before the organization started hosting events in either Las Vegas or Abu Dhabi. The UFC Welterweight Championship is on the line between champion Kamaru Usman and former title challenger (#4 welterweight) Jorge Masvidal. They previously met at UFC 251, where Usman defended his title via unanimous decision. This rematch between the two will now headline the incredibly stacked PPV event on April 24, 2021.

But before the welterweights rematch- it's a women's championship double-header; In the co-main event- strawweight champion Zhang Weili is set to defend her title against former strawweight champion Rose Namajunas. Zhang will be returning to the octagon for the first time since her classic fight against Joanna Jedrzejczyk (UFC 248) in 2020. In the third title fight of the evening flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko takes on former strawweight champion, Jessica Andrade. Andrade won the title at UFC 237 when she beat then champion Rose Namajunas.

UFC 261 is scheduled for April 24th and will be the first UFC pay-per-view to have fans in attendance since the beginning of the pandemic. The event will be held at the Jacksonville Arena and the 15,000 tickets were sold out in minutes after going up for sale.

The rest of the main card will feature a matchup between Jimmy Crute and former UFC light heavyweight title contender Anthony Smith. After this we'll see a middleweight bout between Uriah Hall and former champion Chris Weidman.
