Bring a hand-rubbed shellac finish to a flawless, silky sheen. In this final episode, I wrap up the project with three coats of shellac, then demonstrate denibbing with 0000 steel wool to remove dust nibs and imperfections, followed by a furniture wax (I prefer one that is food-safe) topcoat. I cover cure time, buffing for a satin/soft gloss look, and a quick tip for fine-tuning a slightly tight drawer fit with light scraping on hidden surfaces. If you want a smooth, durable finish on small boxes and drawers, this step-by-step will help you get pro results.
It was a wonderful experience working on this project. Thanks everyone who watched/commented/followed :)
