In western culture, almost all the music we listen to uses just 12 notes, but it doesn’t have to be this way. In this video I explore some alternatives, giving some examples of music that uses quarter tones (half-sharps and half-flats) and also experimenting with 5-tone and 7-tone equal temperament scales. I also explain what I mean by that! ;)
