How to Display a Zero at the Beginning of a Number in Excel

In this video, I show you a few different ways to display a zero at the beginning of a number. The example I show is for zip codes, but my methods can be adapted to fit other scenarios. These methods work best if the numbers are all the same format and length (i.e. zip codes or international phone numbers), not a combination of different types/lengths of numbers.
Method 1: Format Cells - Number - Special - Zip Code
Method 2: Use a formula =TEXT(A1,"00000")
Method 3: Format Cells - Number - Custom - 00000 (or whatever format is needed)
