1. Excellent "Bite" and "Tear" Capabilities:
During its rotation, the serrated blades more effectively "hook" and "bite" into various materials, especially tough wire sheaths, plastic sheaths, and insulation covering metal conductors.
Compared to plain blades, serrated blades significantly enhance initial penetration, effectively eliminating the problem of slippage on smooth-surfaced materials (such as PVC and rubber insulation), ensuring that the material is quickly captured and drawn into the crushing chamber.
2. Efficiently handles tough-wire and irregularly shaped parts:
For complex cables (tough-wire) containing rigid plugs (plastic, metal), metal armor (steel tape, steel wire braid), or large connectors, the serrated blade's localized high-stress points effectively cut through and shred these hard or irregularly shaped components.
The serrated structure creates multiple stress concentration points during the shearing process, making it easier to break hard and brittle components (such as plug plastic shells and small metal parts), reducing the overall impact on the blade.
3. Reduces entanglement and improves pulverization uniformity:
The "tearing" action of the serrated teeth is superior to simple "shearing," effectively breaking long cables, fiber bundles, and other materials into shorter fragments. This significantly reduces entanglement on the blade shaft and ensures continuous and stable operation of the equipment.
The serrated blade produces relatively uniform fragments during the pulverization process, facilitating efficient and uniform feeding and pulverization and separation in the subsequent copper rice mill (main pulverizer), thereby improving overall copper recovery and purity.

The serrated blades are made of H13 hot-work die steel and undergo rigorous heat treatment (such as quenching and tempering) to ensure extremely high edge hardness and red-hardness, resisting abrasion from impurities (sand, metal shavings) in cables.
Even if the serrated tips experience minor wear during use, their unique geometry maintains excellent "bite" performance, resulting in a slower degradation than that of plain blades after blunting. This effectively extends blade life and blade change cycles, reducing operating costs.
