Do we have to outland? Gliding into the Austrian Alps and getting low!

Crossing the danube valley in a glider to fly into the alps can be a huge challenge. Are we going to be successful? And the hardest part was still to come!

At this day my club collegue Florian an me wanted to fly from our home airfield to Niederöblarn in the Austrian Alps. Therefor we had to cross the danube valley, which is quite broad and where hardly any thermals can be found.
Can we manage to cross it? Are we getting low and can we stay airborne?
