Lure Making a Jointed JERKBAIT- tail made with 3D pen.
In this video I attempt a 3 piece twitch bait swimbait that is jointed in 2 spots. This lure is made from poplar, one of my favourite woods to carve, especially if you need to add fine details.
Weighing in at 10.5 grams it is a perfect weight for most rod sizes and has a nice swim action. The tail was made by using the 3Doodler 3D pen that I’ve had for some time now and it worked out great and gave me many ideas on how to utilize this pen in future projects.
For paint I decided to go with one of my favourite patterns, “ perch”. Lately I’ve been trying to work on my airbrushing skills so I decided to lay down most of the detail by painting them instead of carving and I see lots of potential for some really cool designs.
For eyes I went with some awesome “MAD TOWN” eyes by Dead Meat Customs, check out his work on Instagram. Amazing!!
