These scenes are from a more extensive film made by John R Neilands, a Newcraighall native, in the early 1990s, the scenes picked for this clip show many residents of the village at the time as well as the layout and buildings which were in existence then.
The original soundtrack for the clips featured have been replaced in this clip only by music chosen by the editor of this clip.
The original film was converted from an analogue VHS video tape to a digital format by the Craigmillar Archives Trust.
