Technology and Entrepreneurship Courses

The UConn Entrepreneurship Hub hosted the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship (TIE) II Final Presentation Day on April 28, 2025.

TIE is a two semester long course where both undergraduate and graduate students spend a full academic-year developing technology-based startup ventures.

The fall semester of the course introduces students to ideation, design thinking, and business models. Students form teams and start developing their startup ideas.

The spring semester focuses on startup strategy, product-market fit, prototyping, and financials. Together, the courses help students build viable, scalable technology ventures.

During the Final Presentation Day, the student teams presented their startup pitches to a panel of judges, along with faculty and students.
