During the 90' Roland released 19 sound expansion boards based on samples for their synthesizers. In 1995 the company withdraw from the market the number 06 "DANCE" ...why? maybe for some obscure copyright reasons /sample clearance? Maybe because the card contains (VERY) famous samples from Kraftwerk and belgian electro popo Telex? After the withdraw, Roland released a "clean" module version of the SR-jv06: the MDC1, keeping 95% of the original PCM after a SAMPLE PURGE. We did compare both wavetables, and recorded some "problematic" samples that disappeared.
