How to Find Area Under Parametric Curves (Calculus 2 Lesson 42)

In this video we learn how to calculate the area under plane curves represented with parametric equations. We start by representing the area we want to calculate with an integral in terms of x and then convert that integral to be in terms of the parameter (t). We look at a couple examples and explain each step along the way.
