Stop timing chain rattle at cold start up. Mini R56 N47 Upper Tensioner change. BMW 1.6 diesel M001.

All you need to know for this easy and cheap upgrade. Definitely, not as good as fitting a complete new timing chain kit. But that is very complex (professional) and expensive (£thousands). In most cases the final bill will be probably more than the car is worth. In comparison this tensioner change is a budget, DIY mechanic job which takes a couple of hours maximum.
