Fish Fry Recipe
Ingredients:
Fish (any variety)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt, to taste
6 dry red chilies
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
1 teaspoon pepper seeds
1/2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
5 cloves
1/2 inch ginger
Juice of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon coriander powder
Oil, for frying
Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish
Instructions:
1. _Clean and marinate the fish_: Wash the fish with turmeric powder and salt. Let it sit for a few minutes.
2. _Prepare the masala paste_: Dry roast the dry red chilies, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, pepper seeds, and fenugreek seeds. Let them cool.
3. _Blend the masala paste_: In a mixer jar, combine the roasted spices, cloves, ginger, lemon juice, turmeric powder, salt, and coriander powder. Add a little water to make a smooth paste.
4. _Marinate the fish_: Apply the masala paste to the fish, making sure to coat both sides evenly. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour or 30 minutes if you're short on time.
5. _Fry the fish_: Heat oil in a pan (tawa) and fry the fish until it's golden brown on both sides.
6. _Serve_: Squeeze a bit of lemon juice on top of the fish and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes:
You can adjust the amount of spices according to your taste preferences.
Make sure to not overcook the fish.
You can serve the fish fry with your favorite sides, such as rice, roti, or vegetables.
