2025 was the fastest year of my life — and one of the most transformative years I’ve ever experienced as an artist.
In this video, I share the story behind launching a completely new art form: live edge olive wood fine art surfboards. From learning new tools and techniques, to taking this work straight to art festivals, this year pushed me creatively, physically, and mentally in ways I didn’t expect.
This new body of work was built on years of experience with epoxy art, but combining resin with live edge wood took everything to a new level. Along the way, I found new collectors, had my best art show ever in this region, and rediscovered why I thrive on creative challenges.
While developing this work, I was also creating my signature reverse painted glass chandeliers, painting commissions, filming art videos, and living life with my family. It was an intense year — and a rewarding one.
2025 was a year of transformation.
For 2026, my focus is connection.
If you’re an artist, collector, or someone curious about the behind-the-scenes reality of building a fine art business, I hope this story resonates with you.
