In 1977, while working in Columbus, Ohio, 27-year-old Timothy LaFond was electrocuted in a work accident. His spirit instantly left his body and was cast into the black, outer darkness of Hell. There, he was tormented by horrifying screams and menacing demons who taunted him. His own sins, dating back to age five, were played back to him like a movie, causing him immense agony with every memory. Realizing the utter hopelessness of eternal punishment, he cried out repeatedly, "GOD HELP ME!" At that moment, he felt God's right hand touch his shoulder and pull him out, instantly sending his spirit back into his body, setting him free from the electricity and the torment. After his near-death experience, LaFond was left with medical issues and a deep void, desperately seeking the God who saved him. Ten months later, at a Christian crusade, he ran to the altar and asked Jesus Christ for forgiveness, becoming spiritually born again. Upon finding salvation, his memory improved, his chronic back pain vanished, and God later gave him a vision of the "lake of fire," commissioning him to tell the world that Hell is real and to urge people to accept Jesus as their Savior.
