Emerging from the vibrant music scene of Prague, Czech Republic, IONS is a dynamic five-piece progressive metal outfit. Founded by guitarist Jakub Tirco and vocalist Shorty Lago, the band's inception was a natural progression of their initial collaboration on Tirčo's EP, Introspection.
IONS' distinctive sound is characterized by a seamless integration of atmospheric keyboards, orchestral elements, and complex time signatures. Their affinity for synthesizers, low-tuned guitars, and post-rock influences shines in their latest album Counterintuitive.
