With today's update, Notion is changing the way you manage your databases.

And it can be quite a confusing update to use in your everyday setup.

In this video, we will go over everything that is changing with the new update. We'll highlight possible pitfalls and problems you need to be aware of, plus how to make the most of these changes.

Put simply, Notion will allow you to manage several database sources in one database block.

That means that your database can no longer just contain one database. Instead, it turns into a container for any number of databases you want to set up inside of it.

This can be super helpful in theory, but in practise it can also lead to a lot of confusion.

Which is why for now, we actually recommend building Notion with the old way and continuing to stick to one database container, one database model just like before.

But of course we'll keep a close eye on this to see how things develop. Very curious to hear whether you find a specific use case for this new way of grouping elements together.
