A story about letting go...twice.

When you least expect it, someone comes along with a really awesome MIku song. It even has that "real photographs" thing going on in the PV which I kinda hate, and it's STILL amazing. Why? Well, the tuning is kinda meh, but the lyrics, oh man the lyrics.

When I translated this song, I totally thought I had it figured out from the first few lines, but the "same as being alive still" bit really changed the whole meaning of the song. There is my two cents:

Main character singer girl person was probably sick or something, and her friend took care of her. The girl always felt guilty for being so dependent on him, but she still really liked him. And then, the day she died, he cried for her, even if he had been strong enough never to cry before. And she wanted, wished to stay. Her wish was granted, but somehow, it was different. Maybe they couldn't touch each other, or something. She was like a ghost of sorts. But as the days passed, she realized that staying behind really didn't make any of them any happier. She was still causing trouble for him, and he couldn't move on. So she went away, leaving him to find someone new to love. And that was a good thing.
