In this video I show the light output from six different bulb types in cold temperatures. I shot this video when it was 1 degree Fahrenheit outside (-17C). The bulbs compared are:
60W incandescent
53W halogen (75W incandescent replacement)
32W GE compact fluorescent light (150W replacement)
13W GE CFL (60W replacement)
13W Ecosmart CFL (60W replacement)
11.5W EarthBulb LED
The incandescent, halogen, and LED, lights turned on to full brightness nearly instantly while all three CFL bulbs started off very dim and took several minutes to reach full brightness.
