The Patriot PowerUV is effective in just 30 seconds when used as directed. The recommended distance between object and light is 6 inches. The farther the light is from the surface being disinfected, the longer it takes to work. A Patriot PowerUV can kill germs from several feet away if treating an area for longer periods of time. For the UV light to disinfect, the light must shine directly on the area. Crevices or areas that are shadowed will not be disinfected. Always follow usage instructions.
