Kecskemét Táncegyüttes

A Kecskemét Táncegyüttes a Hírös Agóra Kulturális és Ifjúsági Központ Nonprofit Kft. fenntartásában 1976 óta működik. A Táncegyüttes több évtizedes hagyományőrző tevékenysége révén csaknem 5000 fiatal ismerhette meg népművészetünk értékeit és a Kárpát-medence népzenei és néptánc kincsét. Jelenleg több, mint 380 taggal büszkélkedhetnek, ezáltal Kecskemét legnagyobb múlttal és létszámmal rendelkező együttese. Számos díj és kitüntetés birtokosa az együttes. Tavalyi évben a FIDAF Brazil világbajnokságon 3. helyezést értek el Magyarországot, Kecskemétet képviselve.

The Kecskemét Folk Dance Ensemble was established in 1976. Its maintainer is the Kecskemet Cultural and Conference Center.
The dancers (children, youth and adults) –380 persons in 13 group - have been acquiring the basic of folk dance since 1999 in the world-famous Zoltan Kodaly Art School of Kecskemet.
The Ensemble presents the dances of the nations living in the Carpathian Basin (circle dances, virtuoso man dances, weapon and shepherd dances with or without implement and lyrical couple dances as well)
The Ensemble have numerous professional, social and individual awards. The Educational and Cultural Minister granted Kecskemet Folkdance Ensemble ministerial praise appreciating the work of the Ensemble. The adult group of this ensemble received the „Special Award of Jury” from between 27 countries in the world’s largest folk art festival which was held in Istanbul in 2018. The Ensemble was choosed out for the Olympic of The Folk Arts “Folkloriada 2020” to represent Hungary which was in Russia, Bashkortostan in 2021. Last year they participated in the FIDAF Brazil World Championship where they achieved 3rd place and the 4-piece orchestra achieved first place.
