Two brand new Scaletrains SD7Rs, numbers 1533 & 1523. Are seen running on the ESRR layout for the first time!
Number 1533 (the lead unit) is the ONE variant of the Scaletrains SP SD7s with the full sized fuel tank.
Number 1523 (the trailing unit), like the rest of the Scaletrains SP SD7s (excluding 1533), only has half the fuel tank.
Overall, both these models are going to be a SOLID addition to their owners' equipment roster.
Scaletrains (for those not familiar) is a newer brand that was founded a handful of years ago. They're unique from other Model Railroad manufacturers because they do railroad specific details on their locomotive & rolling stock. For example, one of their first releases was the Phase 2 UP Gas turbine locomotives. One unit in particular had a modification piece that none of the other units of its class had. Scaletrains made said specific unit equipped with the part, and the rest they modeled did not have it.
