Hello everyone, and welcome to Exploring with Cindy and Dan!
This is Part 2 of our incredible 7-day Inside Passage cruise to Alaska and Canada aboard the Royal Princess. Come aboard and join us as we continue this amazing adventure!
In this second video of our series, we’ll be taking you on a fully narrated tour of the Royal Princess, deck by deck—from Deck 4 (Gala Deck) all the way up to Deck 12 (Aloha Deck). We’ll share helpful tips and information about what’s included in your cruise, Wi-Fi packages, shopping on board, the fun of cruising ducks, specialty dining options, the main dining rooms, the Princess Theater, and so much more you need to know about the ship.
In an upcoming video, we’ll continue the tour from Deck 14 (Riviera Deck) up to Deck 19 (Sky Deck), and also take you with us to the breathtaking ports of call: Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, and Victoria, Canada.
One of the most unforgettable highlights of cruising to Alaska is witnessing its majestic glaciers, such as Marjorie, Reid, and Lamplugh. These towering ice formations are truly awe-inspiring. We were lucky enough to witness glacier calving—huge chunks of ice breaking off and crashing into the sea. It was a mesmerizing and humbling moment, a true reminder of nature’s raw power.

An Alaskan cruise is always a breathtaking experience that immerses passengers in the dramatic landscapes and rich wildlife of the Last Frontier. With panoramic views of towering glaciers, rugged mountains, and pristine wilderness, every moment feels like a scene from a nature documentary.
While cruising through Glacier Bay National Park, we saw bears at Bartlett Cove, bald eagles soaring in Skagway and Juneau and humpback whales swimming as we departed Ketchikan. We also spotted mountain goats at Gloomy Knob and, for the second time, saw numerous sea otters floating by as we dined at the Horizon Court.
The icy waters are alive with wildlife, offering countless opportunities to see animals in their natural habitats. Whether it’s spotting bears along the shoreline, watching playful sea otters, or seeing porpoises swimming alongside the ship, every encounter adds to the magic of an Alaskan cruise.Beyond the natural beauty, these cruises also offer rich cultural experiences.
In the end, cruising to Alaska is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that blends relaxation, exploration, and jaw-dropping scenery. Whether you’re marveling at glaciers, encountering wildlife, or diving into history and culture, every moment on board and ashore adds to the unforgettable journey of discovering one of the world’s most beautiful destinations.
