Round1 Bowling & Arcade (Exton Square Mall PA), 4K arcade walkthrough & tour, June 2024

One of the few Round1 locations in the Northeast that I hadn't yet done a walkthrough of! This one is located out in Chester County, Pennsylvania, in an otherwise mostly rural area. How rural is it? The Sound Voltex cabinets actually list the location as "ROUND1 CORN". Jokes aside, this is quite a large location, and it has almost an overwhelming amount of games in it, with multiple games featuring duplicates or even triplicates. The rhythm game section, by comparison to other R1s, is on the small side and located mostly in the corner behind the prize redemption area, but it has a good cast of skilled regulars that visit. This is also one of the R1s that has a good selection of fighting games with a number of sit-down Vewlix cabinets. There are a number of modern Stern pinball machines near the food service area, but unfortunately none of them appear to be in great condition, nor do they have Insider Connected. A surprising appearance? Electronic darts boards! These are able to be rented by the hour, and they're on the DartsLive platform from Sega (very familiar if you've ever played a Yakuza game!). No Spo-Cha in this location, but definitely worth a trip out to the middle of Cornland to come and check this out. It's also one of the only spots still open inside the mall, so if you're into dead malls, feel free to take a stroll through there as well and enjoy the delicious liminality.
