Someone asked if I’m still alive. / Melodic Techno & Progressive House

Yes, I’m still here.

Last year, for various reasons, I suddenly stopped updating my channel. Life and work just got in the way, and I couldn’t find the time to make videos or music. But now, I’m reorganizing my schedule and getting back to updating the channel!

For both old friends and new ones, I think it’s time to reintroduce what this channel is all about.

If you’ve been subscribed for a while, you probably know that most of my DJ sets are focused on Melodic Techno and Progressive House, with some Afro, Deep House, and Indie Dance mixed in from time to time. That’s just the kind of music I love, so if you’re into these styles too, you’re in the right place! But if you’re looking for other genres, you might not find them here—because I only remix the music I genuinely love.

Also, for a long time (not sure if anyone noticed), I’ve been picking songs that are more on the underground side. If I find a track I love with low play counts, I actually get excited and add it to my playlist. But let’s be real—finding both great and underrated tracks isn’t easy, which is why my updates have been a bit slow. To me, just mixing a bunch of well-known tracks together isn’t interesting. I don’t want to follow trends, so if you're looking for mainstream electronic music, you probably won’t find much of it here.

Now, about my videos. I’ve always felt there were a lot of issues with my previous setups. Unlike some other DJ channels, I don’t have fancy locations or take my gear outside to perform. Honestly, DJ equipment is heavy, and with everything else going on in my life, I just don’t have the time or opportunity to do those types of shoots. So, in my future videos, you’ll mostly still see me playing in my living room. That’s actually why I call myself "Your Neighbor DJ"—just think of it as coming over to my place to enjoy some good music together.

Lastly, I’ll be revisiting and remixing some of my past DJ sets. When I listen back to my older mixes, I find some arrangements that I’m really happy with, and others that I think could be improved. But I also feel like some of my sets didn’t get as much attention as they deserved. These are great tracks that should be heard by more people, so I’ll be bringing them back in remixed versions. So, moving forward, expect both new DJ sets and remixes of older ones. Some of my old DJ sets are still available on SoundCloud, but they will be remade for YouTube.

Oh, and I’ll also be posting shorter videos, not just DJ sets—so stay tuned for that!
