Priefert has been considered an industry leader in the roping and rodeo world for over 20 years. What better place to host a high-level roping event featuring the iconic Priefert roping chute than on the very place where the product was created and tested… The Priefert Ranch. Home to the Priefert family, the Ranch has long served as an idea factory and a proving ground for their revolutionary products. Now, it’s their pleasure to share the Ranch as a host location for an event that we hope will soon be as renowned as their equipment.

The inaugural Priefert Ranch Open (PRO) Roping was held in 2022 and successfully brought together novice and pro athletes to compete in the events of Team Roping and Breakaway. Scheduled to coincide with the Mt Pleasant Pro Rodeo, The PRO Roping offered ropers a well-timed chance to enter two major events as one stop along the rodeo trail. In 2024, the PRO grew into a 6-day extravaganza, incorporating events for jr breakaway ropers and the World Series of Team Roping, expanding the event to pros and amateurs alike. Our goal is to continue to grow “The PRO” annually, giving athletes an opportunity to bring home big money while traveling through the region.
