Join us for Somali Heritage Week 2025 — a vibrant celebration of Somali culture, history, and identity in Alberta and across Canada. From June 25 to July 1, communities in Edmonton, Calgary, and Brooks will gather for cultural nights, youth-led events, traditional music and dance, educational workshops, and celebrations of Somali independence alongside Canada Day.
This year’s theme highlights heritage, healing, and youth empowerment, honoring Somali contributions to Canada while addressing systemic racism and fostering intercultural dialogue. Somali Heritage Week has been officially recognized by the Government of Alberta under Bill 57.
Be part of a week that uplifts voices, strengthens community ties, and celebrates the resilience of Somali Canadians.
