Mountain Forest Camping with my dog & Campfire cooking (Salmon tail) ASMR

G'day! I had intended on camping higher up on the range but there were too many leeches after the rain. I eventually found a nice spot deep in the forest on the other side of the mountain but we arrived late and had to set up in the dark.
After a night cap by the fire, Digger and I slept like babies listening to the rain gently falling on the tent.
The rain cleared during the night and we woke to blue skies, great views and beautiful bird songs.
Digger was very happy to be back in the wild, exploring, sunbathing...and eating BBQ!
I cooked up a big piece of salmon tail over the coals, it was so good!...juicy, sweet and full of flavour.
I found some 'wild' strawberries (somebody must of planted them) also, something that looked like tomatoes but they had spikes on the vines (anyone know what they are?)

While Digger was enjoying sunbathing and catching flies, I started a new book...I love starting a new book! It's called 'Determined' by Robert Sapolsky. I've watched many of his lectures on youtube teaching at Standford Uni. Fascinating subjects by a great teacher who has a funny, dry sense of humour.
This was a great little spot and will defo be going on the 'list'
