SANGLA is a spine-thrilling short horror film directed by Mardy Buniol Planas under Artista Film Production, produced in collaboration with Amartha Entertainment Production. Set in a remote, decaying village, the story follows a young girl whose life is shattered when her desperate mother pawns her to a reclusive old woman. But this woman is no ordinary lender she harbors a dark secret, and an even darker spirit.

As the girl begins to sense something sinister in her surroundings, she attempts to escape the clutches of her captor. However, her efforts are met with unspeakable brutality the old woman strikes her with a wooden weapon and drags her into the depths of the forest, where she is drowned and silenced forever. The spirit within the old woman feeds on the innocent, and no soul escapes once offered.

SANGLA is a disturbing tale of desperation, betrayal, and the supernatural, unraveling the terrifying price of survival when innocence is treated as currency. Through raw emotion and atmospheric horror, this film dares to ask: how far can a mother go before the consequences consume them both?
