All glory be to God. Let us praise the king of Kings, Jesus Christ.
October was the month everything cracked open. The month where death sat close, yet God’s mercy sat closer. I was drowning in addiction, running from myself, running from God, running from every truth I didn’t want to face. But even while I was choosing death, God was choosing mercy.
This month was the collision of two kingdoms:
the kingdom that wanted to destroy me
and the Kingdom that refused to let me go.
Scriptures for this month:
Psalm 116:3–4 — “The sorrows of death compassed me… Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.”
Lamentations 3:22–23 — “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed… They are new every morning.”
Ephesians 5:14 — “Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.”
