AMAZING One-Of-A-Kind OTIS Traction Hillavator - The Shadowbrook Restaurant - Capitola, CA

[Recorded 3-22-22] Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all of my lovely subscribers and fans!! I hope you all have a splendid day with your friends and/or family. Today, I am only posting one video, but it's of a very special "elevator!" I rode this when I was really little and I've always wanted to come back and check it out again. It's exactly as I remember it from all those years ago! This is an extremely cool and fully customized inclined elevator, beautifully restored and kept in fantastic condition. This elevator is one of the biggest reasons that this restaurant is so popular. Of course, the view and the food are excellent too...but when could you take an inclined elevator down a hill to a restaurant?? That in itself is already a good enough reason for me to eat here. Side note: After the video, I spoke with an employee who has been working here for many years. He said that he had heard rumors that in the future, you may have to have paid for a reservation/table before even getting access to this elevator. What that means is, there would be a desk at the top of the hill instead of the bottom. I'm not sure how credible this source is, but I'd say it's something that is bound to happen eventually. I wonder why though? Maybe they're sick of people like me just riding the elevator and not eating there lol. Regardless, I recommend visiting this place, enthusiast or not!!
