Today, on World Violin Day, I am delighted to share the release of the Violin Wise documentary—a heartfelt tribute to the violin and the ecosystem that supports its magic.

Through the Lalgudi Trust’s 'Violin Wise' initiative, we have taken a small yet meaningful step towards empowering the violin-making community in India. By connecting our local craftsmen with global luthiers like James Wimmer, we’ve opened doors for knowledge-sharing, skill-building, and innovation in string instrument restoration and repair. It is a joy to see how this initiative fosters excellence and strengthens the foundation for string music in India.

The mission of the Trust has always been to serve the great good of music, art, and craftsmanship. This is yet another step towards enriching the ecosystem that benefits the entire Strings Fraternity.
